Quiet, Eerie Looking Morning

I know its 12+ hours away, but stepping outside this morning is very quiet, eerie, like all the animals are hiding.....  not a cricket, not a deer, not a turkey, not a movement in a tree, they are all hiding from Irene.
Our tables, chairs, flags, plants & flowers, and signs are all down, in the garage, or pushed against the house as we take caution for the "just in case." It gives us a preview as to what its going to look like as we get ready for Winter. Boooooo!

Hunker Down

Ok. So tonight we'll be going over our grocery list... bread, milk, cold cuts, cheese, vodka, olives, tonic, LOL  Just kidding. I think we are set. Just trying to think ahead of what to do if the electricity goes out. Last time that happened, sitting around starring at each other wasn't an option. Game boards, cards, cleaning, organize garage, go through closets, paint, stain... wow, too many work options.  :P

Water Bridge in Germany .   What a feat!
Six years, 500 million euros, 918 meters long . . . now this is engineering! 
This is a channel-bridge over the River Elbe and joins the former East and West Germany as part of the unification project. It is located in the city of Magdeburg, near Berlin. The photo was taken on the day of inauguration.

Guest Bath

Simple accessories and literally untouched after moving in. Original sink, toilet, bath...
Can't beat a nice clean economical bathroom. Review from last visitor : "I wish the water pressure out of this shower head was in our master bath!!!"

Kids Room

Well, I call this bedroom the kids room, although, when they came to visit, they chose the room with the twin beds. Oh well. Blue walls, chocolate and cream bedding, antique cream dresserand a cute Americana storage box. Cute and Cozy. Makes me want to sleep in that bed instead of my own!

Guest Bedrooms

Sitting here on such a rainy day, thinking what could be done, somehow I remembered that I never shared the Guest Bedrooms! Now that we have had our first visitors to enjoy the rooms, its time everyone else gets a room with a view... or maybe its just a view of the room? Either way.... Bedroom #1 (you will have to wait for Bedroom #2 and Guest Bath in upcoming days)
