Clarification

My apologies but Rosco is not a new member of my direct family. But he is of Lindsey and Chris. He is one of the cutest pups I've met and played with. Beautiful chocolate lab. Makita can't wait to meet him :)

Road to Recovery

Mom made it through her surgey with flying colors. Lindsey made it sound though that it looked like a train hit her and tossed 10 more years out the window. But, who doesn't look bad coming out of a drug induced sleep? And one of the best sleeps I have ever experienced!!!! So she will be on medication and in rehabiliation for a few days. The next few days will prove just how well her new hip will serve her.

Mom's Surgery

Today is the day where my mom finally gets a chance to walk and feel better. She will be having her hip surgery this morning. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

Dog Days

Now that it's August, I guess these are supposed to be called the Dog Days of Summer. Hazy, Hot and Humid? Well, we have had a few days this month that are like that, so sure. I'll go along with it. But here's our version of Dog Days.... at the Lake.

50-50 Weekend

Well, the weather is starting to cooperate alittle better with our schedules.
Jay has been working all week and also on Saturday morning, so we made sure that when he was done, we jumped on the boat. Of course, I am enjoying the scenery so much I forget to take pictures. I'll try to be a better blogger in the future :)
Sunday was a gray day. So I took advantage and got out the power washer and did the back deck floor and walls. Boy were they a mess. And I swear we just did them in the spring. The front porch and rocks were in need of a major spray down. The trees and plants must be dropping crap this year. They were almost black. Again, no before or afters. Sorry... I'm slipping. Oh, and Ace had his 3rd doctor visit for another shot. So far, so good. His next visit on 8/22 will have xrays and blood work done again to see his progress. Fingers are crossed and many prayers are still being said. Please do the same.

August 1st

So the first day of August was BEAUTIFUL!!!!! From start to finish.
Was a good day to get a lot of things done. Sadly, Jay picked up a shift today so the boat was out. But its not going anywhere... that's for sure.
Bunny even had some tree trimmers at her place to clear the view back to the lake.
So much overgrowth over the years took away what she did have minus what the new condos did by themselves. I'll be sure to take a picture to share.

I am messing around with the blog layouts again. Don't be surprised to see a few different ones as I try them out.
