It's All Part of the Experience

The title comes from a trip Nate made with Jackie, Alicia, and Sma... or was it Sfa? LOL either way, doesn't matter. As we were driving from MD to Ocean City in a Jeep with no roof it began to pour. We were all getting soaked. As we pulled over to put on the roof, and continued on our way, most people would have put this as the beginning of the end. But somehow, these early 20-somethings found the silver lining in it and somehow someone spoke the magic words...'It's all part of the experience.' Boy was it. So goes our days today in Connecticut. All this snow. All this cold. Just on our return back from beautiful sunny warm Miami. To only have ventured home for less than 45 minutes to unpack the dirty clothes, pack up warm clothes, gather the dogs and their food/treats, save Kimmie from being stranded, and also get our 98 year old neighbor to her caregivers house.... well, its all part of the experience. So as the days go on, we only know that the power is still off. Right now, 1442 homes in our town continue to be without it. We were saved by our friends Marc and Becca, who invited us into their home. They too have a dog, Ricky, and have a fenced in yard so they can continue to frolic. As we will have time on our hands, and thankfully heat and an internet connection, we will start to upload pictures from our vacation and hold onto those warm memories. Waiting and waiting to go back. Until then.... we will enjoy the most of this experience with our close friends. Keep you all posted. Love, Nate & Jay
