Friday the 13th

It doesn't come around very often, and if you probably thought about it, its no different than having the Thursday the 12th (ooooooooooooooooooooh) but we sometimes double think our actions on a day like today.

• No stepping on cracks. Cause god forbid you break your mothers back!
• Stay away from ladders all together!!!
• And if that damn black cat crosses your path, turn around immediately. This is something I do anyday.

The phobia around the 13th is a cousin to triskaidekaphobia, the fear of the number 13. Even today, the Otis Elevator Company knows better than to include a button with a 13 on it in elevators all over the world. The supposedly unlucky number is the reason behind the explosion of Apollo 13, which took off at exactly 1:13 p.m. (1313 military time) on 4/11/70 (digits that add up to 13, naturally). This even makes people change their current travel plans today if they see flight numbers or flight departures with any association with 13.
