So this morning started out only getting about 4 hours of sleep. One, because Makita the horse slept in our bed, and 2, my elbow was killing me. 2 weeks ago, my elbow became red and swollen out of the blue and the Pepsi Doctor put me on Levaquin, an anitbiotic). After 10 days, it seemed to go away as planned, with a little tenderness left over. Well, yesterday, it came back. This time, more painful, more red, and more swollen. So off to the ER at 8am. Sat in the waiting room for 25 minutes, which is good. But then sat in a damn room, curtained off from the rest of the world for 1 hour 30 minutes. I think I fell asleep at one point. Finally, the physician's assitant comes in, and BAM. "You have a classic case of Bursitis." HUH?
Explaination : Bursitis of the Elbow. This type of bursitis is associated with actions requiring you to repeatedly bend and extend your elbow. You may get such an inflammation by pushing a vacuum cleaner back and forth ( TOTALLY ), throwing a baseball and swinging a tennis racket or a golf club ( not so much) may lead to bursitis or tendinitis of the elbow or shoulder. Simple repeated leaning on your elbows could lead to bursitis over the tip of your elbow - this sounds like workers comp! Anyway, got an xray to make sure nothing was broken or out of place. I have an appointment with a specialist on Monday. Have the arm in a sling, icing it, and taken the meds. Not working Monday. And typing isn't that easy at the moment either. Oh well, just mark me down for another weird diagnosis for me. And P.S Monday will be my 4th anniversary for my achilles ripping to shreds! Oh yeah. This is my favorite time of year.
OMG! You get the most never-before-heard-of illnesses than anyone!!! How are you still alive???
